Where will the ceremony and reception take place?
The ceremony will be held at Holy Name Cathedral at 2:30 PM. The reception will follow at The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel, with cocktail hour beginning at 5:30 PM.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30PM. Guests are kindly asked to arrive 20–30 minutes early to allow time for seating.
What happens if I arrive late to the ceremony?
Out of respect for the church and the ceremony, late arrivals may be asked to wait until an appropriate moment before being seated.
How do I get from the ceremony to the reception?
Both venues are located in downtown Chicago and are approximately a 10-minute drive from one another. Ride-share services such as Uber or Lyft are also readily available.
What is the dress code?
Our wedding will be formal attire / black tie optional. Please visit the Dress Code section of our website for full attire guidance and recommendations.
Are children invited?
While we adore your little ones, our celebration will be adults-only. Children attending will be limited to those who are part of the wedding entourage.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally listed on the invitation.
Can guests take photos during the ceremony?
Photos are welcome from your seats. We kindly ask that phones remain on silent and that guests refrain from stepping into the aisle or obstructing the view of our photographer and videographer.
Are hotel accommodations available?
Yes. A room block has been reserved at The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel for our guests. Please visit the Accommodations section of our website for booking details and special rates.
How far are the venues from the airport?
Both venues are located in downtown Chicago. From O’Hare International Airport, the drive is approximately 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic. From Midway Airport, the drive is approximately 25–30 minutes.
Is parking available?
Ceremony Parking – Holy Name Cathedral
Parking is available at the One Chicago Square Garage, located at 14 W Superior Street (between State and Dearborn). Guests may utilize Lower Level 1 or 2 for up to two hours.
Ticket validation is required inside the church.
Street parking and nearby public garages are also available.
